Mary Herrera to appear on Christian Station!
Mary Herrera former New Mexico Secretary of State has been asked to give her testimony on Christian Station channel 32 Soon! As you are now aware, Attorney General Gary King closed the investigation he was conducting on the accusations three employees claimed, during the election cycle of 2010. Mary Herrera was a victim of false accusations and the Whistle Blower Act that was passed and went into effect in 2010. The Whistle Blower Act is written where anyone can accuse anyone of wrong doing and get away with it. This is wrong! This Act needs to be amended to add if anyone accuses others or anyone of wrong doings with no sufficient evidence, they will be held accountable. They will pay all the lawyer fees and if they are employed with State, and falsely accuse anyone, they could be subject to disciplinary action or dismissal.
Years ago when the Sexual Harassment Law was passed, this is what exactly happened many claims of sexual harassment were filed and it was costing the taxpayers thousand of dollars. Many of those claims were filed by disgruntled employees against their bosses or co-workers and were false accusations. This again is happening with the Whistle Blower Act, taxpayers are paying thousand of dollars to lawyer firms contracted by the State to fight false accusations. For the claims that are not false, and are valid under the Whistle Blower Act, amending this Act will not discourage those individuals who file because if they have a valid complaint, they will not hesitate to utilize the Whistle Blower Act. New Mexico can use the money spent on attorney's on jobs and not legal fees!
The date of the Christian Show will be posted soon!

Mary Herrera saves New Mexico Tax Payers 6.3 Million Dollars during her tenure as New Mexico Secretary of State!
How did Mary Herrera save New Mexico Tax Payers 6.3 Million Dollars? Well it is a little complicated but I am going to explain how.
The Federal Auditors from Washington D.C. conducted a federal audit of the Help America Vote funds in 2007, funds awarded to New Mexico by the Elections Assistance Commission totaled 22 million dollars during the years of 2005 and 2006. After the audit was completed, the Federal Auditors concluded that 6.3 million dollars spent on advertising by the previous administration was not allowed to be spent as Help America Funding and requested that New Mexico pay back to the Federal Government 6.3 Million Dollars.
Mary Herrera was Assistant Comptroller for Bernalillo County and was responsible for the entire budget of over 100 million dollars and audits for many years. Mary Herrera having the background in accounting and audits worked out a plan with the Federal Auditors. The plan worked out but was not easy to accomplish, it took many hours of hard work and creativity.
New Mexico passed legislation to change the entire voting system for New Mexico to an all paper ballot system, one great accomplishment of Governor Bill Richardson. New Mexico passed a bill to purchase voting machines in the amount of 11 million dollars in 2004. Federal Auditors allowed Mary Herrera to go back and change prior year legislation language to add {Election Supplies and Advertising} which would allow the 6.3 Million Dollars to be charged to New Mexico funds rather than Federal Funds. The 6.3 Million Dollars spent on advertising would be a State issue and no longer a Federal issue.
With all the hard work of Mary Herrera, her Deputy, Speaker of the House and Governor Richardson, this great plan was accomplished when Mary Herrera was Secretary of State. I can remember Mary Herrera and her Deputy waiting to testify as expert witnesses at 3 in the morning, staying up all night and assuring this legislation was passed.
Did not end there, Mary Herrera and her staff had to work with Department of Finance and Administration to now go back to the accounting transactions and charge 6.3 Million Dollars of advertising towards the 11 Million Dollars (New Mexico funds) and charge 6.3 Million to the Federal Funds as Voting Equipment. The Federal Auditors were satisfied. A copy of the audit was given to State Auditor Hector Balderas who later issued the same audit under New Mexico Audit.

Mary Herrera saves New Mexico Tax Payers 6.3 Million Dollars when she served as New Mexico Secretary of State!
Mary Herrera informed by the New Mexico Attorney General that the investigation of all accusations against her has been closed because there was not sufficient basis.
Mary Herrera was unable to defend herself when three of her disgruntled employees set up a plot to destroy her re-election as Secretary of State in 2010. Why? to protect the tax payers of New Mexico from lawsuits. Attorney General has closed the file. Mary Herrera was unable to defend herself because this case was a personnel issue; everyone knows you make NO comments when a case is a personnel issue; however, the Albuquerque Journal continues to slander Mary Herrera to this day. Three employees went to the FBI with false accusations, then immediately contacted all the press to destroy Mary Herrera' reputation The real facts are out, never was any criminal doings by her but the Albuquerque Journal continues to publish these false claims given to them four years ago. It's time for the public to question how they can do this to a women who worked herself up the ranks, believed in God to win her election, made numerous changes and accomplished numerous goals as Bernalillo County Clerk and then New Mexico Secretary of State. I am encouraging Mary Herrera to pursue a law suit against the Albuquerque Journal for defamation of character. On March 17, 2013 the Albuquerque Journal printed that she was accused of Pay for Play plus other false accusations. Pay for Play means she benefited for herself from other people? What basis does the Albuquerque Journal have to accuse her of that charge? or do they just make up new charges because they want to sell stories and no one questions them? This is wrong! The Albuquerque Journal gives no credit to the public, REALLY! after 4 years of these accusations and no FBI investigation has occurred. If there was any substance to these accusations in the first place, do you not think that charges would have been filed by now? Do you not think the FBI would have taken her files, computer, or even conducted interviews? I plead to the public to help Mary Herrera out, what happened to her was wrong and she stated from the beginning to the media that all the accusations were politically motivated. Well the truth is out! Attorney General Gary King, closes the file. I will send more information on my next blog!
