Grant the Congressional Gold Medal to the troops who defended Bataan during World War II

There is a Bill being drafted to grant the Congressional Gold Medal to the troops who defended Bataan during World War II. This Bill must be enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America.

If this Bill is passed, Congress will award the Congressional Gold Medal in honor of the soldiers from the United States who were prisoners of war at Bataan, in recognition of their personal sacrifice and service to their country.

Yes there has been folks against this Bill. I cannot believe it but it is true. Many of the survivors of Bataan have now passed away. They should of received this Gold Metal years ago. For the few that are living, I am hoping this Bill is passed soon.

What we want is some momentum, we do not want the Bataan story to be dominated by Libya, Afghanistan, and the Debt Ceiling. We need your help to get this sponsored and introduced. How you can help is by becoming a member of the Bataan-Corregidor Memorial Foundation on Facebook. This will increase access to updates and historical information and hopefully expand the grass roots push to get this legislation through Congress. Show Congress that you care, the more grassroots pressure, the higher likelihood of success. They definitely deserve this recognition.

Just heard the most positive news for Albuquerque, Joel Osteen will be coming to Albuquerque on October 7, 2011. That is the best news I have heard in a long time. I have been wanting to go to Austin Texas to see him, but now I do not have to go to Texas, he is coming to Albuquerque.

Joel Osteen is the most positive person I have ever listened to. If you are down and need to listen to a person who can help you turn your thinking and life into something positive, plan on going to listen to him. The event will be at the UNM Pit. Hope to see you all there.

Changing Your Thought Patterns!

Let's look at a typical pattern of thinking. First, we recognize that there is a need to change an attitude, whatever that attitude may be. Maybe it's an attitude toward an individual or situation. I believe the way to change is through the means of prayer.

Happy Birthday Al Hurricane

Al Hurricane is 75 years old today and I wish him happy birthday. For many years he and his family has contributed to keeping New Mexico Hispano Music alive. As Little Joe and the Familia and Ruben Ramos have kept Texas Hispano Music Alive, we have our own style here in New Mexico. We should all be proud that our New Mexico style music never died. Let's make sure it stays that way.

I can remember listening to Al Hurricane way back to when I was a little girl. My mother often went to dances where he and his band played at a club called the Far West. I can remember in high school, listening to his music and going to dances where he played as well.

I plan to be at his event to celebrate his birthday as he was at my birthday event last year. It was reported that he played at my event, oh course the Reporter never called to verify the truth. The truth is he is a great friend of mine and has been for many years, he came to my birthday party, (alone, not with his band), and sang some songs with the band that was hired for my birthday event.

Casey Anthony - Not Quilty

Well today this young lady was found not guilty by the jury. That is to show no one should judge another person for a crime unless you have all the facts. The media made this whole incident into a high profile movie or series, the jury had to be careful because the world was watching every single one of them. It is time the Media and all Reporters realize what they report, can really hurt incident people. The question is, do they care?

Pray for family, as far as the little girl, bless her heart, she is an angel now and is in a better place.
